What to Expect

At Comfort Care Chiropractic, care is structured, intentional, and based on how your body moves and stabilizes over time — not just where symptoms show up.

Rather than rushing through visits or offering one-size-fits-all care, each step is designed to help you understand your body, restore proper motion, and build lasting stability.

Your First Visit: Spinal Movement Assessment

90 minutes

Your initial visit is a comprehensive assessment focused on identifying why your symptoms exist and how your body is compensating.

During this visit, we will:

  • Review your health history and current concerns

  • Assess spinal and joint mobility

  • Evaluate stability, control, breathing, and movement patterns

  • Identify key movement deficits contributing to symptoms

  • Provide hands-on care, which may include chiropractic adjustment, soft tissue techniques, mobility work, and movement recommendations

  • Begin outlining your personalized next steps

This visit establishes the foundation for all future care recommendations.

Review of Findings & Care Planning (ROF)

60 minutes

At your second visit, we review your assessment findings in detail and create a clear, individualized plan moving forward.

This visit includes:

• A comprehensive review of your movement assessment findings

• Discussion of how movement limitations, compensation patterns, and support deficits may be contributing to your symptoms

• Time to ask questions and gain clarity about your condition and goals

• Personalized mobility and rehabilitation exercise (reset movements) recommendations

• Hands-on care, which may include chiropractic adjustment, soft tissue techniques, mobility work, and movement recommendations

• Discussion of care frequency, treatment priorities, and phase-based recommendations

This session is designed to help you understand what’s happening, why it matters, and how we will work together to restore motion, rebuild support, and improve long-term function.

Follow-Up Care: Reset Sessions

30 minutes

Follow-up visits focus on restoring motion, reducing compensation, and building the support needed for long-term function.

Reset Sessions may include:

• Chiropractic adjustments

• Targeted soft tissue techniques

• Stretching and mobility work

• Movement retraining and rehabilitation exercises (reset movements)

• Progress assessments to monitor motion, support, and overall function

Most patients begin with weekly visits and gradually transition to less frequent care as motion improves, support is rebuilt, and movement becomes more efficient.

Care Phases & Progress Reviews

Care at Comfort Care Chiropractic is guided by progress, not a predetermined schedule. To ensure care remains effective and appropriate, formal Re-Assessments are performed approximately every 12 weeks, or sooner when clinically indicated.

During each Re-Assessment, we:

• Measure progress objectively

• Re-evaluate motion, support, and movement quality

• Identify remaining compensation patterns or functional limitations

• Update mobility, rehabilitation, and movement recommendations

• Adjust care recommendations based on your current needs and goals

As movement improves and support is rebuilt, care frequency is typically reduced. Recommendations are always individualized and based on your progress, goals, and response to care.

Re-Assessments

60 minutes

Re-Assessments allow us to measure progress, identify remaining limitations, and update your care plan based on how your body is responding to treatment.

During a Re-Assessment, we:

• Re-evaluate movement quality, mobility, and stability

• Measure improvements in motion, support, and overall function

• Identify any remaining compensation patterns or movement deficits

• Update rehabilitation exercises and care recommendations

• Establish goals for the next phase of care

Re-Assessments help ensure that care remains focused, effective, and aligned with your progress.

If there has been an extended gap in care, a more comprehensive Re-Assessment may be recommended to establish an updated baseline and ensure recommendations remain appropriate.

A Thoughtful, Individualized Approach

Not every visit may look the same — and that’s intentional.

At Comfort Care Chiropractic, treatment is guided by what your body needs most at that point in your recovery.

Each session may include a combination of:

• Chiropractic adjustments to restore motion

• Targeted soft tissue techniques to reduce tension and improve tissue quality

• Stretching and mobility work to improve movement

• Specific rehabilitation exercises to rebuild support and stability

As your body adapts and improves, the emphasis of each component may change. Some patients need more mobility. Others need more support. Most require a combination of both.

The goal of care is not ongoing dependency — it is to help you move better, build stronger support, and maintain results long-term.

🧘‍♀️ What to Wear to Your Appointment:

Comfort is key—your visit may include movement assessments, soft tissue work, and full-spine adjustments, so I recommend wearing:

• Comfortable, stretchy clothing
Think: workout or athleisure wear—T-shirts, leggings, joggers, or gym shorts are perfect

• Avoid bulky or restrictive items
Jeans, dresses, skirts, and stiff fabrics can limit your range of motion and may make it harder to access treatment areas

• Clean socks are a good idea, especially if you’ll be lying on the table or removing shoes

No need to dress up—just come as you are, ready to move and feel better!
